Balariond is a noble lord of the South, son of a Ranger and a great lady of Dol Amroth. He has both wandered with the Rangers and fought to defend Gondor. His hair and beard are brown, and his eyes grey. He is usually either dressed in Ranger's clothes, or in the rich garments of a lord of the South, featuring the White Tree of Gondor, or the swan of Prince Imrahil. Lately he may often be found in garb of the Elvish style made by his wife, Meneliel.
When fighting he prefers armor in the Elvish style, also made by his wife. For his part, he is a swordsmith, and prefers to wield a greatsword.
He has taken the name Edheladan, given him by Meneliel, which means 'Elf-Man.'
