They met while atop Amon Sul, and Balariond carried a hopeless love for her for many months. He had a gift given to her anonymously, a beautiful diamond necklace, but she could not discover the giver. Her only clue was the message To Tinuviel from her Beren.
She once heard Balariond call her Tinuviel. She met him on the bridge of Imladris, that Men call Rivendell, and asked him of this. Finally he confessed his love while they stood together in the Hall of Fire.
At first they sought to keep this a secret, but finally they could bear it no longer, and they were wed in the Elven fashion. Now they fight side by side, Meneliel the strong shield to Balariond's swift sword, meeting the minions of the Enemy with great ferocity.
He is a Champion, she is a Guardian.
