Teardown, PinUp Girl's villainous alter ego, is from an alternate universe version of Paragon City. She is a member of the authoritarian Masters of the Golden Age. Once she was the lover of Proud Soldier, the alternate version of Proud Citizen, but their relationship ended bitterly. Now they walk the line between love and hate. Teardown is an angry, heartbroken, resentful woman, cynical and often sarcastic, even just plain spiteful. She envies and hates PinUp Girl, who lives the life she believes should be hers.
